Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

I think there are many categories my posts could fall under. Most understandably I would fall under the design category along with marketing, with an emphasis on social media marketing... Small independent businesses could be attracted to my blogs since they are always looking to gain a foothold in the online space. Other designers would find my content useful because I can explain the many different sources and methods that I employ to create a graphic/image. Creating these images and following other design pages/small businesses is an easy way to build a following. While it might not be as likely of them to actively engage your content (because you are initiating the following instead of them voluntarily following), it is a great way to make connections and appear as a more "credible" account. Followers don't mean much in the game of social media, but when first starting out the first few hundred are easily one of the most important, as it brings some "validity" to the content.
